WMP + AHS: Sponsoring Adoption Fees

Did you know that approximately 6.3 million animals are brought into the animal shelter system each year? While this number has declined, animal shelters are still being overcrowded by homeless pets in need. That’s why WMP Eyewear has had an ongoing partnership with Arizona Humane Society since 2020.
AHS has been steadfast in revolutionizing the shelter problem within Maricopa County in Arizona. After getting their start in 2013, they have reduced euthanasia by 83% and have saved roughly 130,000 pets in need. In order to help the ongoing animal welfare efforts at AHS, WMP takes a portion of profit from every order to donate quarterly. Donations vary, from truckloads of supplies to lifesaving programs, like Puppy Parvo.The latest AHS donation went towards their long-timer pets, in hopes of them finding loving homes.
Long-timer pets at AHS are described as any animal that has been in their shelter system for more than three months. In order to clear out the shelter to make way for more incoming animals, WMP sponsored the adoption of 42 long-timer pets that have now found their forever homes.
Thanks to your orders, one of the long-timer pets adopted was Rodney. But Rodney’s new family is extra special because it includes a young boy by the name of Blaize, who had been adopted earlier that day. Blaize had always dreamed of having a dog of his own and when his new family took him to the shelter, Rodney and Blaize became best friends.
A message from Blaize's family:
"WMP played a big part in Rodney's adoption by sponsoring his fees. Because of this Blaize was able to spoil him with new clothes needed to help heal his wounds, toys, treats and everything else needed to give him the best start. Because of you, the two will forever share an adoption date. And we will forever think of you & WMP customers."
What's next for WMP and AHS? They're anticipating their biggest donation yet in quarter three of 2023!
