This Cookies Policy explains how WMP uses cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on the Platforms. It describes the types of cookies WMP uses, the purposes for which it uses them, and the choices available to you regarding their use. For more on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
This Cookies Policy applies to users in the United States, Canada, and the European Union/European Economic Area ("EU/EEA"), and is designed to comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), other applicable U.S. state privacy laws, and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. WMP also uses similar technologies, such as pixels/tags (e.g., tracking pixels for advertising and analytics), SDKs, local storage and session storage, and server-side tracking tools (collectively, "Cookies").
WMP uses the following categories of cookies and tracking technologies:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to the operation of WMP's Platforms and cannot be disabled without impairing core functionality.
Their purposes include, but are not limited to:
- Website security and fraud prevention
- User authentication and session management
- Shopping cart functionality and checkout
- Load balancing and system integrity
These cookies do not require consent under applicable law.
Functional Cookies
These cookies allow the Platforms to remember your preferences and enhance usability.
Their purposes include, but are not limited to:
- Saving language or regional preferences
- Remembering login or session details
- Enhancing customer experience and convenience
Performance/Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how users interact with the Platforms to help WMP understand usage patterns and improve performance.
Their purposes include, but are not limited to:
- Measuring traffic and engagement
- Understanding navigation paths
- Improving Site functionality and design
Targeting/Advertising Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertising that is relevant to your interests and to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Their purposes include, but are not limited to:
- Displaying personalized or interest-based ads
- Retargeting users who have abandoned carts
- Measuring advertising performance and attribution
Subject to user consent where required by law, WMP may use the following third-party tools and service providers: Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Snapchat Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Triple Whale, and Klaviyo and Attentive (email and SMS marketing analytics and attribution). These providers may collect information such as IP addresses, device identifiers, browsing behavior, and interactions with advertisements, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
The TikTok Pixel referenced above tracks ad performance when a user clicks a TikTok ad and lands on wmpeyewear.com. It is not connected to checkout or order processing on this site. WMP's TikTok Shop is a separate sales channel and is not integrated with this Shopify storefront.
Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, and other lawful transfer mechanisms.
EU/EEA Users
For visitors located in the EU or EEA, WMP operates on a prior opt-in basis:
- Non-essential cookies and tracking technologies are not loaded unless and until you provide explicit consent through our cookie banner.
- You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences via the cookie settings link available on the Platforms.
- Consent is granular, allowing you to accept or reject specific categories of cookies.
California Users
For California residents, WMP implements a footer-based privacy preferences model as follows:
- Certain cookies and tracking technologies may be enabled upon page load.
- California users are provided with a persistent and conspicuous "Do Not Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of the Platforms.
Clicking this link opens WMP's "Your Privacy Choices" preference manager, which allows users to:
- Opt out of the selling or sharing of personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising
- Adjust cookie and tracking preferences by category (e.g., Data Analytics, Targeted Advertising)
- Access additional information regarding WMP's data practices
This approach is intended to balance transparency, user control, and site functionality while aligning with prevailing California compliance practices.
If you elect to opt out through the footer preferences link:
- WMP will honor your request by disabling or limiting applicable advertising and tracking technologies to the extent required by law.
- Your opt-out choice will apply to the browser or device you are using and may rely on cookies or similar signals to remember your preference.
- You may need to renew your choice if you clear cookies or use a different device or browser.
WMP also detects and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or browser extension sends a GPC signal, WMP will treat this as a valid request to opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, equivalent to using the footer link, without requiring you to take further action on our site.
Canada (PIPEDA)
For visitors located in Canada, WMP obtains meaningful consent for the use of non-essential cookies, consistent with PIPEDA requirements. Consent is obtained through our cookie banner. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time through cookie preference settings. Implied consent is not relied upon for advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You may manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:
- Through the cookie consent banner displayed when you first visit the Platforms
- By using the "Do Not Share My Personal Information" link in the footer, which opens the "Your Privacy Choices" preference manager
- By adjusting browser settings to block or delete cookies (note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair Platform functionality)
- Via a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, where supported by your browser
Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of cookies used prior to withdrawal.
For more detail on our broader data practices, see our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about this Cookies Policy, please contact us.
